Free VA Letter Review

A VA rating decision letter is dense. It's full of codes, percentages, and boilerplate language, and it's easy to miss something that matters, especially if you're relieved just to have an answer, or frustrated that you don't. A short review from a VA-accredited attorney can tell you whether your decision looks right, or whether it's worth a closer look.

When we review a decision letter, these are the things that actually move the needle:

  • Effective date. The date your benefits start from. An effective date that's later than it should be can mean thousands of dollars in back pay left on the table.
  • Rating percentage. Whether each condition was rated appropriately for its severity, and whether the combined rating was calculated correctly.
  • Reasons for denial. If a condition was denied, why (missing evidence, no nexus opinion, no current diagnosis), so you know what's fixable.
  • Deadlines. How much time you have to act, and which appeal option fits your situation, so a deadline doesn't pass unnoticed.

If your decision looks right, we'll say so. If something looks worth pursuing, we'll explain what it is and why.
